It is found in Nigeria, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Angola, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan and Ethiopia.〔(Afrotropical Butterflies: Nymphalidae - Tribe Junoniini )〕 The habitat consists of dense forests and riverine thicket.
